Stay with a Family

Homestay or host family accommodation is an entirely different experience to guest-house or hotel accommodation. It is much more personal and davidswe like to say that staying with one of our carefully-selected English-speaking host families is like staying with a relative. Our families will welcome you as a guest of the family, treat you as a member of their family, and share their daily experiences, food and comfort with you. On your part, you should be prepared to adapt to their way of life and to share in their chores. This is an excellent opportunity for you to practice your English – indeed, we believe it is an essential part of your learning experience during your visit to Malta - and to experience the Maltese way of living.

Staying with a host family is based on room sharing, possibly with another student, and includes breakfast and an evening meal. A single room or a packed lunch can be arranged for a small supplement.

Host families are carefully selected and continuously monitored through regular contact and visits by our competent staff members, who assess the family’s general disposition, fitness to accommodate our students, hospitality and the general ambience of their house to accommodate guests.
Family accommodation is usually centrally located and very close to where our courses are run. At CELL, we make every effort to match each guest to suitable host-families, this helps to ensure lasting relationships while enhancing the student’s learning experience.

Host family accommodation is possibly the most economical form of accommodation on offer, but it is not a hotel. Therefore, if you wish to have hotel style services, then look under hotel accommodation.
